3 WAYS YOUR SCALE IS LYING TO YOU!

3 WAYS YOUR SCALE IS LYING TO YOU!

It seems everyone lives and dies by the scale. That used to be me. If the scale showed I lost a couple of pounds, I would be happy. If it should I gained a couple of pounds, I would be sad and ready to give up my diet forever! It's like we are motivated, guided, and rewarded for the number we see on the scale, but in reality, I learned that the scale is a lier.

Why would the scale lie to you? There are 3 main reasons why the scale is not accurate in providing you with your real weight.

#1 - Scales only give you your total weight on a given day at a given time. What does that mean? If you want a constant measurement of your weight, you need to weigh yourself on the same scale at the same time, at the same location. This means different scales will give you different calculations based on the time of day, and the location and type of scale you use.

#2 - Scales only give you your total weight. They don't provide for you how much your bones weigh, your water weight, your muscle, or if you have lost fat or not. All of these factors are what determines your overall health and a regular scale can not provide you with the information you need to make realistic assumptions about weight loss.

# 3 - Scales Don't Measure Lifestyle Improvement And Body Measurements. If you go by the scale alone, you will not be rewarded for the successes you have made in the area of lifestyle changes. You also lose body inches and a scale doesn't measure how many inches you lose which is the real determination of what size clothing you wear.
